Sugar – Honey is by far the preferred food to give to our bees. But there are times like when starting a new hive whether from a package, swarm, or split, when you just may not have any honey to give them. In those cases the default food of choice for the smaller beekeeper is a sugar syrup mixture. You probably have access to sugar at your favorite grocery store. We will offer sugar as a service to our customers who may not have a good source. Since the price of sugar tends to fluctuate, and we don’t buy large quantities of sugar at any one time, our price on sugar is subject to change. Also our inventory is very dynamic so please contact us to confirm pricing and availability before ordering.
